CONTINUING THE CONVERSATION
When I inherited the VERSA brand as Creative Director, I was keen to reflect the new direction of the company. Although still firmly seated in the conversational AI space, the agency had changed over the years since its inception — with more UX, UI and Strategy work as the backbone of the business.
As with most agency sites, the change management and repositioning were among the biggest hurdles to overcome. My primary objective for the site was to better reflect the services of the agency and to highlight these through curated case studies.

I approached the project in the same way that I would for any client. Firstly, I did research — both internally, capturing the needs and requirements of the business, and then externally with an in-depth Environmental Scan.
I then conducted a UX Review and Content Audit, to assess what was currently performing well on the site, what assets and content could be repurposed — and what areas needed to be addressed.
VERSA’s heritage was important, so a ‘brand extension’ approach was decided upon, using the existing logo and colour palette, but visually distinguishing the agency from its previous incarnation.
Working as a team, we consolidated the research and produced wireframes, then I visualised Design Concepts for several different routes. Once the route was selected, I designed the full site, including interaction examples, showreel storyboards and all assets — so that the development in WebFlow was seamless.
I developed the design language for the Services, using simple geometric shapes for each service; Stategy, Blueprinting, Design, Development and Innovation — and used the 3D software Spline to create the interactive ‘building blocks’.
The new tone of voice and visual design style was rolled out across Brand Guidelines, Presentation Collateral, Social Media assets and Email signatures.
